My name is Jerrah and I’m 25 years old. I am a community musician and singer songwriter who loves to bring joy.

I like the microphone and to play percussion, especially the drums. I like seeing people dancing and smiling.

I write songs about everyday things like braces, corned beef, cricket and friends. They are happy songs that people can join in with.

I also sing in a community choir – the Moo Choir. It’s great to sing with others.

Sometimes I busk in the streets of Springwood, play at the local Glenbrook markets and in the church band. I like to join in festivals, musicals, concerts and community events. I played my song Paintings On The Wall at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Everyone loves music. I provide entertainment at the Springwood nursing home “Bucklands” and the Wycliffe preschool in Warrimoo.

It was sad to lose gigs in lockdown so during covid I offered to do driveway concerts for friends and was part of a zoom karaoke group to help people keep in touch.

I’ve recorded some of my songs so I can share them with others. My dad says “I make music to make a world of difference”.

During the week I also work part time in the kitchen, library and garden at a bible college. Another day I volunteer at a food co-op in Katoomba, sweeping, restocking and watering. In my free time I like to host meals at my place. We eat nachos, play games and chat.

My mum says I am an encourager and inviter who makes people feel welcomed, no matter what their age, race, gender or ability is.

I’ve learnt there’s lots of ways to contribute to my family, friends, community, and the world. It’s fun and I like it.

You can find my music on Spotify and iTunes, Soundcloud and Bandcamp. My Facebook page is Jerrah Patston Music.
