Our research depends on your support. Our vision is achieving the highest attainable standard of mental health and wellbeing for people with an intellectual disability, autistic people* and people with other developmental disabilities. To share in this vision please donate to support our research.
People with intellectual disability, autistic people* and those with other developmental disabilities experience substantial health gaps. So stark is this issue that The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (DRC) reported: “the evidence justifies the Royal Commission finding that people with cognitive disability have been and continue to be subject to systemic neglect in the Australian health system. We make that finding”.
Our work at 3DN is urgent- it has been pivotal in exposing the health gaps in Australia, and we are working very hard to address them. We ask you to consider being an important part of our work by giving your donation, which will support projects of direct benefit to people with disability. You can target your donation to people with intellectual disability, autistic people* or people with developmental disability.
*Note our use of the term “autistic people” reflects the preferences of the majority of those in the autistic community; however we do acknowledge that language preferences may vary.
