A series of our easy read information sheets on finding and using mental health services in NSW are now available in Arabic, Simplified Chinese, and Vietnamese. They are for people with intellectual disability, their carers, family, and supporters, and for those who prefer simple written information.

Accessible information is important so that everyone can find and take part in mental health care. Easy Read materials adapt standard information into a briefer copy using easier language and pictures. These information sheets were made with people with intellectual disability and their supporters.

Easy Read information sheets are available on:

  1. Getting help with your mental health and questions to ask
  2. The Mental Health Act
  3. Rights and rules for people who go to hospital for their mental health or require a community treatment order

These information sheets are free to access from www.3dn.unsw.edu.au/projects/easyread. You will also find the original English versions here.

The resources were developed by 3DN and the Social Policy Research Centre, UNSW Sydney, with funding from NSW Health and translated by the Multicultural Health Communication Service.
