Ellie's train to work

What are your photos about?

My contribution to go to work and help keep people safe by cleaning and keeping everything sterilised.

What happened on the day of your photos?

It was a bus strike, none of the buses were actually going and picking up passengers, so I had to take a ferry and train

Why did you go to work when the bus strikes were on?

Because it was my commitment to go to work even if there was a bus strike I still wanted to work.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

Talking to everyone.  Seeing them every week and knowing that you are doing something good for someone else.

What does contribution mean to you?

Turning up on time. Helping out people, helping out the country. Doing your piece for the community even if it’s small because every contribution makes a big difference. Or just doing little things like going to work and going to uni or helping around the house.

What do you want people to know about the contribution of people with disability?

I guess that people with disability can also contribute to society and help make this country a better place.

What does the government need to do about Sydney buses?

I don’t know, pay them more?
