I live at home with my mum and I work part time at Medical Records at RPA Hospital doing admin work. I am learning lots and enjoy it. My goal is to move out of home and get more independent. I also study film at Bus Shop Films. I love the cinema, dancing and I always have a book on the go.

Me and my mum went to Shoalhaven Heads for Easter. When we walk, every day, on 7 Mile Beach we always carry a little plastic bag to collect anything that gets washed up on the beach like small pieces of plastic. Or things that beach goers leave behind. It is my way of looking after the fish and keeping them from swallowing the pieces of plastic and also, it makes the beach look nicer.

Brenda is our neighbour. She lives with her best friend, her dog Max. To get some exercise and also to give Max some exercise I take Max for a walk around the park near our house. Brenda really likes it when I walk Max as she can have some free time. In our house we say our religion is ‘Kindness’”.

I am learning to cook. I love tacos. I hope one day I can cook dinner for my mum to give her a break.

Contribution to me means doing nice things for my community, for my family and for my neighbours. It is the right thing to do and it makes the world go round! People with disability contribute in so many ways, mentoring others, working in volunteer positions & helping out with fundraising like stalls and sausage sizzles.

My mum said when I was born she didn’t think I’d be able to do much but then she saw people with disability going to work every day, having relationships, living away from home and being independent. I just want to have the same life as anyone else. I love going to work and learning new stuff. I can take the bus and train like everyone else. Next thing I want to do is move out and live with flatmates.
