New course on responsible prescribing of psychotropic medication

We have just launched a new course on the responsible prescribing of psychotropic medication to people with intellectual disability.

Our new Responsible Prescribing course aims to further health professionals’ understanding of the impact of intellectual disability on the prescription of psychotropic medication and how to effectively and responsibly prescribe to people with intellectual disability.

It covers topics such as:

  • A background to responsible prescribing
  • Key considerations when prescribing
  • Conducting a comprehensive background assessment
  • Developing a treatment plan

The e-learning course can be accessed after a quick registration via the ID Health Education website.
